This fairing is designed specifically for the Honda VTX. It is not a generic "fits all bikes" fairing -- it is just for the VTX. The shape of the fairing blends the classic "batwing" fairing design with the beautiful shape of the VTX headlight. The UltraFairing completly encloses the headlight and closely follows the leading edge so that the unmistakable character of the VTX is not masked and your headlight does not end up looking like a round peg in a square hole. This high-quality fairing is made in America with the finest crafstmanship and fits both the VTX1300 and the VTX1800 C,R,S,N,T models.

You can choose between a complete inner and outer fairing package or you can purchase the outer fairing alone if you are not interested in the stereo.

The VTX UltraFairing is compatable with any windshield made for an 96-05 FLHT/FLHTC Harley Davidson. The fairing is sold without a windshield but they are readily available from any motorcycle parts dealer.

We manufacture the fairing in two different materials so you can choose between durability and cost. The hand-laid fiberglass version is practically indestructable and built to last a lifetime. The impact resistant plastic version is not quite as tough but looks and performs exactly the same and is the right choice if you want to keep the cost down.

The fairing is attached with steel brackets that attach directly to the triple trees at existing mount points so no drilling or clamping is required. If your VTX does not have covered forks then you can also use standard quick-release Memphis Shades mounting brackets. The quick-release brackets bolt directly to the inner dashboard and then attach to fork mounted clamps so that the entire fairing can be removed and reinstalled in just a few moments. Memphis Shades windshield brackets for the VTX1800 or VTX1300 are readily available from any motorcycle parts dealer.

Outer Fairing Features

• Plenty of clearance for most aftermarket light bars (light bar must be mounted to the bottom of the lower triple tree and may require an offset spacer)
• High speed stability and aerodynamics. Fully tested at VTX1800 top speed.
• Compatable with a wide selection of aftermarket Harley Davidson style windshields.

• Cutouts for standard automotive stereo receiver and four 5 1/4" speakers - you install your own equipment.
• Compatable with Quick-release Memphis Shades brackets.

*The VTX 1800F model headlight is different style and size than other VTX models and does not fit properly in the Ultra-Fairing.  The headlight can be replaced with a standard VTX1800C type headlight in order to use the Ultra-Fairing.

* The ultrafairing is compatable with most VTX lightbars. In the worst case, your lightbar may need to be lowered slightly to clear the fairing.

* Windshields that are designed to work with the Memphis Shades Batwing Fairing are not compatable with a Harley Daviidson fairing and do not work on the UltraFairing.

Ron on 4/14/2010, said: The (fiberglass) fairing looks good, when you finally get it installed. My painter needed 6 hours to prep it before he could paint it. Lots of pin holes and soft spots. Neither he nor I were impressed with the quality out of the mold. The mounting hardware is a cobbled-together collection of metal flat straps and angles from the hardware aisle at Home Depot (literally - they have the "Stanley" stamp on them). It works, but looks rather silly behind the fairing if you bother to look. More Rube Goldberg than I"d like. The seal around the windshield (loose plastic to plastic, no weatherstripping), and the top of the fairing directly above the speakers is VERY bad (approx. 1/8 inch gap). Not sure how to get even close to a weather tight seal, so there is going to be an issue keeping the sound system dry. Still not sure how to fix that. I figured that for the price I paid, it would have truely been "paint ready" as it is i am going to have to spend some time with body putty and sand paper to actually get the unit ready for paint. I was also surprised at the size of the gaps between the inner and outer halves of the fairing. I expected to see a much tighter fit... again, more body putty and sand paper. The forms group at VTXOA menbers seem to share the same issues. I only wish I did a bit more research before I chose the Extream Revolutions faring. I would like very much to hear from you.
