Would'nt it be great if your Batwing fairing had a good place to mount some guages, indicator lights, or switches?

Well now it does! The new Bat Glove from Xtreme Revolution works with any fairing that accepts a standard Harley Davidson style 3-hole windshield (96-up FLHT/FLHTC). All you do is loosen up the three bolts and then slide the BatGlove in behind the windshield. Tighten the bolts and that's it -- instant glove box!

The Bat Glove has a small locking door (two keys are included) and provides a reasonably safe place to stow your sunglasses, cap, ipod, map, sunscreen, extra gloves, or whatever! The inside is lined with a soft carpet to help protect your items. The Bat Glove is also designed to be water resistant so your items won't get soaked.

The Bat Glove is easy to customize. It is large enough to mount small guages or indicators on the front. You can easily drill holes in it and then attach custom mounts for your GPS, phone, garage door opener, or whatever! You can route the wires right out the bottom of the Bat Glove and directly back into the fairing for super-sanitary installation of your gadgets.

The bat glove is constructed with a sturdy aluminum backing plate black and a thick plastic housing that is easy to paint.  When you paint the backing plate black it looks just like a short dark windshield - very cool.

In order to make it fit, I had to take about 1/2" off of each side with my dremel tool, and then disassemble and replace all of the gaskets to stop the leaking. It also required quite a bit of prep work to get it ready for painting. The door is too loose, and a catch to hold it closed without having to lock it would be nice. I had to even cut back the aluminum mounting tabs to get it to mount flush into the fairing - and the fairing is made by XR. How secure is the glovebox? Could someone just tear off the glovebox? Do you have better pictures of the installed glovebox? I'm concerned about visibility. Q: How secure is the glovebox? Could someone just tear off the glovebox? A: The Bat-Glove is very sturdy and it could not be torn off any easier than someone could grab your rear-view mirror and break it off. A malicious person could destroy your bike in lots of ways, but it would not be easy. If a person had the right tools, they could simply remove the Bat-Glove, or your mirrors, or your seat, etc. For these reasons the Bat-Glove should not be considered a high-security device suitable for storing high value items, but it definetly will keep honest people out. Q: Do you have better pictures of the installed glovebox? I'm concerned about visibility. A: There is a link on the product page to a photo gallery with more pictures. Lots of people like to run the short 5? black windshields because the look very cool, but they are completely opaque and you cannot see through them. But they are so low visibility is not an issue because you never look through them anyway. We were looking at the black windshield on a bike when we realized nobody looks through them, so the space behind is perfect for storage ? that?s when we got the inspiration to make this product.
