This sleek tachometer kit is designed to work with a 2 5/8" Autometer tachometer -- the finest tachometer available for motorcycles. The chrome mounting bracket includes a digital clock and is designed to work on a metric bike that has been equipped with fat 1.5" handlebars like the Barons Xtreme Bar or any of several different Cruiser Performance handlebars. The bracket clamps directly to the integrated risers and has special internally machined channels so that it is easy to completely hide all the wires and achieve a super clean look. With a large 2 1/2" dial, the precision analog tach is is positioned up high in your field of vision for unobstructed viewing.
If you want, the built in digital clock can also be wired up as a digital speedometer with the folowing features:
- Speed (200mph), clock, trip distance, total distance, trip riding time
- Choose between automatic scrolling and manual function selection
- Easy-to-read digits
- Easy-to-understand icons for all functions
- Fully programmable for different wheel sizes
Note1: Setting up the clock to work as a speedometer requires attaching a small magnet to the rear wheel and then mounting the pickup sensor underneath the swingarm.
You can also add the optional indicator light housing. This housing attaches directly to the bottom of the tachometer bracket and allows you to relocate the indicator lights from your tank mounted bezel directly onto the handlebars. The indicator housing provides ISO symbols for turn, oil pressure, low fuel, high-beam, temperature, fuel injection (FI), and Neutral. The inside of the indicator housing is machined out to accept the stock indicator lights. This is a nice setup if you have smoothed out the top of your fuel tank or if you just want to get the indicator lights up where you can see them.
