President
Rob’s passion – Anything outside of a cage!
Rob joined with Paul in April of 2004 as Xtreme Revolution’s President. With roots as a mechanical engineer, Rob began his career as a rocket scientist, literally. Early projects included dynamics work on the Atlas Rocket, the Space Shuttle, and cruise missiles. Promoted quickly, his focus soon changed to management and the practices of running and building businesses. He spent a decade with extremely advanced technology leading SAIC. It was there that he did cutting-edge work with Relational Databases in applications ranging from corporate marketing information systems to manufacturing technology to real-time power industry access control.
Leaving SAIC as their Commercial Products Division Manager, Rob went on to run a company in Texas that builds software for nuclear power plants. Itching to get closer to consumers, Rob returned home to San Diego to join HNC Software which later became part of Fair Isaac. (You might know them best for their credit rating FICO scores. They are also the leaders in providing credit card fraud detection, with 70% of US credit card transactions processing through their software. You may also have experienced their real-time credit approval software when applying for instant credit at a major department store.)
Rob has an exceptionally strong academic background including an MBA from The Wharton School, a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, and a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
Rob has always loved anything outside the cage and has a preference for two wheels – cruisers, sports bikes, bicycles. Along with riding, he commutes to work on them as much as possible. His stable includes a Suzuki GSXR-1000R, Harley-Davidson Dyna Convertible, and Honda VTX1800R. He’s also been known to frequently steal his wife’s Kawasaki Vulcan 800 for a change of pace.
Although not proud of it, Rob has dropped every bike he’s owned … except for the VTX. But the VTX he purchased as a wreck and rebuilt. Oh, he never dropped his wife’s bike either … but she did that!
